​​​CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


Competitors will be judged on the following criteria (40 POINTS MAX):


Pole tricks and spins (skillful execution and difficulty): 10 points 
Are you able to perform strong, tricks and spins and executed well? Are you smooth and clean in and out of the trick?

Exotic Dance and FLoor Work: 10 points 
Does the performance flow? Does it have enough floor work to connect the routine, does the floor work look effortless? Were rolls and other dance movements done beautifully?

Concept and Costume: 10 points 
Was there an effort for a concept or story? Props used? Have you put emphasis on your performance?

SULTRINESS (stage presence, sexiness, creativity, engagement with audience, entertainment and originality): 10 points 
Was the performance able to celebrate the sexy, exotic side of Pole dance? Was the performer in shoes? Was the impact strong and creative?


Props, Costume, etc:

  • Performers are permitted to use any props, sets, costuming, additional performers, sound effects, performance apparatus or footwear, provided that: 

                      a. the space allows for it physically.

                      b. it is of a size that can be easily transported on a plane (so international competitors                         are not disadvantaged).

                      c. it can be set up and completely removed in under 3 minutes.

                      d. props or costumes will not interfere or cause accidents during performance​.

  • If any props are to be used, performers must advise us by email
  • No grip aides allowed to be used on the pole
  • Performers can use grip aides on their bodies
  • Competitors are allowed to remove items of costume, but only up to g-strings and bra top (no pasties)
  • No nudity or violent performance allowed. If unsure, email us at sultrydance@gmail.com
  • No fire or any dangerous/hazardous props are allowed in any performance. If you are unsure, please email sultrydance@gmail.com


Music:

  • Participants can use music with or without lyrics, sound effects or their personal mix
  • Participants will be informed if they have the same music with another participant
  • The participant who emails their music earlier will get to use it and the other participant will need to submit another
  • Music should be submitted not later than April 15, 2017
  • The music on the final battle should be between 2 minutes to 4 minutes. Anything more than that will be cut during the event
  • Participants are required to bring their back-up music in CD

Performance:

  • You must submit a description of your performance to sultrydance@gmail.com not later than April 15, 2017. Any significant changes to the performance after that date are not permitted without organizer approval.
  • ​The performance must be on static and spinny pole
  • We are looking for exotic, sexy and creative routines. We want you to entertain, surprise and delight your audience… but not frighten them! We are not looking for vulgar or offensive shows. It’s a fine line… If you aren’t sure, please call or email us to discuss your ideas.


Competitors Stage Info and Performance:

  • Competitors must arrive at the venue at their allocated time on the day for rehearsals
  • Competitors must not consume alcohol or any prohibited substance prior to performing
  • The organizers have the right to forfeit the finalist from performing if proven that a competitor is under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substance
  • Performances must be between 2 to 4 minutes long. All performances that exceed 4 minutes will have their music cut on the night
  • There will be two ten (10) foot tall, 45 mm chrome competition­ grade X­Pole
  • .The pole will be permanently mounted to the ceiling
  • There will be pole wipers who will be wiping the 2 mounted poles with 70% isopropyl alcohol before and after each performance 
  • The stage size is 53.75 sq m / 10.97 m X 7.90 m or 36 ft X 26 ft
  • The stage design, layout and other specifications will be emailed to final participants


Waiver of liability:
The competitors acknowledge and accept that Chrome Divas Pole Dance & Fitness Studio, its owners, staff (the Organizers) and The (Venue) staff and owners (“Venue Related Parties”) are not responsible for injury or damage resulting from participation in the competition, including the competitors’ arrival and departure from the competition.
The competitors acknowledge that pole dance is a dangerous activity and as such the competitors voluntarily accept the risks associated in participating in the competition.
The competitors waive to the full extent permitted by law all legal rights of action against and fully releases the Venue and Venue Related Parties and the Organizers and Related Parties for the loss, damages, or injury howsoever arising out of or in relation to the participation by the competitors in the activities conducted or organised by the Organizers and Related Parties including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission, breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty on the part of the Organizers or Related Parties.

Photos/videos

  • Competitors are aware that they may be photographed or filmed during their performance
  • The competitor acknowledges that photos or video may be published by the Organizers
  • The competitor releases all rights or claims over any photos or videos, and acknowledges that such material is the property of and can be used by the Organizers for promotional or other uses, without compensation to the competitor
  • Competitors may film their own performances and are free to use them as they see fit​
